Miley! You've shrugged off your girl-next-door innocence overnight.
The Southern songstress, who is engaged to Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, has gone for quite the image makeover, lopping off her long brunette locks and opting for a daring platinum-blonde pixie cut.
The style is a far cry from the star's more famous sweetly demure look and includes shaved undercut sides. Matched with a barbed-wire necklace and nose ring, the Nashville girl beams in a set of images posted on Twitter.
The goddaughter to Tennessee poster-girl Dolly Parton has undergone something of an epiphany, according to comments attached to the tweeted photographs revealing the new look.

"Never felt more me in my whole life ❤" writes Cyrus in one caption, while another is equally effusive: "❤❤❤ feeling so happy in my skin".
The pictures have been re-tweeted over 20,000 times and yet another tweet by the 19-year-old defends the inevitable opinionated backlash: "if you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye :)"
The Last Song actress and current Marie Claire US cover girl became engaged to Hemsworth, 22, in May. The young couple have defended their decision to tie the knot at a young age, Cyrus opening up to the magazine: "Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with.
"I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement."
Her fans, predictably, have much to weigh in on that topic, too.
