31 Aug - Recently, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu passed out while having dinner with her friends, and she posted on her blog saying it was a "life and death" event. Many speculated on the actress' fainting spells and some even claimed that Barbie was actually poisoned because she has been consuming placenta supplements, according to the Xin MSN website.
It was reported that Barbie was actually poisoned after consuming placenta. Both she and her hubby Wang Xiaofei strongly denied these rumours.
Barbie expressed, "Rumours should not be counted as a report. How can you call yourselves members of the media if you cannot understand that? No! No! No! [We] must respect others and our own occupations."
"The rumour has caused serious damage to Barbie's personal reputation. She has been a vegetarian for 14 years. She does not even consume any shrimp skin or chicken soup, and occasionally drinks soybean milk and milk; we have never expected to hear such shocking reports," Xiaofei added.
"I am prepared to sue them, (they are) too dirty, too outrageous! I will pursue this matter till the end," said Barbie's mother, who then added that she has discussed the matter with lawyers and is prepared to make necessary charges.
